An item of wheeled luggage comprising a luggage receptacle having an outer wall that faces the ground so as to form a bottom wall, with a plurality of support wheels 105 located at one end of the bottom wall, a retractable steering assembly 106 located on the bottom wall spaced from the support wheels and a handle 108 located at one end of the luggage receptacle for pulling and steering the item of wheeled luggage. The handle is flexibly attached to the case and the luggage receptacle has two alternative attachment points for the handle such that the case may be pulled in either of two travel modes. -Fig. 16a and Fig. 16d-
