<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture cells by dispensing with a wall panel for reinforcement at an outer periphery of a rack for reducing weight, reducing narrow operation under water, making a storage fuel extremely dense, and preventing embrittlement by suppression of boron concentration. <P>SOLUTION: A spent fuel storage rack includes: a flat, rectangular plate-like base 2 for composing the bottom of the rack; column members 3 erected at the four corners, respectively, of the base; and at least a pair of top and bottom grid-like frame plates 4a, 4c that is disposed at an upper portion of the base and affixed to and supported by the column members. Respective cells 5 are configured in a rectangular pipe shape using boron stainless steel plates having high boron concentration to which boron exceeding 1% is added, and the cells are disposed between the grid-like frame plates so as to be adjacent to each other at fixed intervals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
