<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television set in which, in the case where a television broadcast signal being displayed on a display becomes a non-video signal, while suppressing a channel selecting operation from being complicated, channel selection can be performed according to the intention of a user and a load of a receiver can be suppressed from being enlarged. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal television set 100 (television set) includes: a receiver 42 for receiving a digital television broadcast signal corresponding to a channel designated by a user; a display 10 for displaying thereon a program corresponding to the channel designated by the user; and a controller 48 in which, in the case where a digital television broadcast signal corresponding to a channel of a program being displayed on the display 10 is not received any more by the receiver 42, the receiver 42 is controlled to switch so as to receive the digital television broadcast signal corresponding to the channel preset by the user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
