PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extended crack detection method, an apparatus, and a program for surely detecting a regular extended crack or more without overlooking it. SOLUTION: The extended crack detection apparatus includes: an ultrasonic wave generating means 10 for entering ultrasonic waves 220 into a to-be-inspected object 200; a material noise receiving means 20 receiving a material noise 230 from the to-be-inspected object; a material noise information processing means 30 for processing the material noise received by the material noise receiving means as material noise information if the ultrasonic wave generating means 10 is moved in a predetermined range; a recording means 40 for recording a processed result as initial material noise information 400-1; a material noise information comparing/processing means 50 for comparing temporal material noise information 400-2 obtained by implementing the similar measurement and process on the to-be-inspected object after the predetermined time is elapsed with the initial material noise information called from the recording means; and an extended crack information determining means 60 for obtaining information on the extended crack from a comparison result of the material noise information comparing/processing means.
