PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overcurrent detection circuit, regulator circuit and electronic equipment capable of detecting an abnormality of a resistive element for current detection in the overcurrent detection circuit and stopping output from the regulator circuit. SOLUTION: An open detection circuit 13 outputs a low level, turns a transistor Tr4 into a cut-off state and enables a differential amplifier 4 to control a transistor Tr1, when one end of a resistive element R1 and a connection terminal 31 are not open and a voltage of a power source 2 is inputted. When the one end of the resistive element R1 and the connection terminal 31 are open, the open detection circuit 13 outputs a high level and turns the transistor Tr4 into a conductive state. When the transistor Tr4 turns conductive, output from the differential amplifier 4 is forced down to a low level, the transistor Tr2 is turned into a cut-off state, base current in the transistor Tr1 stops flowing, and output from the transistor Tr1 is stopped.
