PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bend collapse type imaging unit that smoothly collapses while ensuring high magnification although it is thin and compact, and to provide small electronic equipment. SOLUTION: A connection member 154 enters the notch 101b of a main barrel 101a and, thereby the internal wall of the main barrel 101 and a cylindrical face 154a are flush with each other and a disconnected helical part 101e is connected to a connection cam groove 154a. This enables the cam portion 114a of a rotational cylinder 114 to pass through a cam groove 101c and the connection cam groove 154b. Consequently, the imaging unit smoothly collapses.
