There is provided an apparatus comprising: a processor configured to apply space-code block coding to control symbols to be transmitted from at least two transmit antennas; a processor configured to map the space-code block coded control symbols on at least two different physical uplink control channels or cyclic shifts of the same base sequence; and a transmitter configured to transmit the cyclically shifted sequences modulated by the space-code block coded control symbols simultaneously from the at least two transmit antennas.
