<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress fluctuation of drive force transmitted from a hollow rotation shaft to a steering shaft through a screw mechanism at operation of an electric motor even if the steering shaft is bending-deformed, and to reduce influence to an operation sound generated in the screw mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power steering device includes the steering shaft 30 and a ball screw mechanism 50. The steering shaft 30 has: an intermediate shaft 31 supported on a gear housing through the ball screw mechanism 50; a left side shaft 32 supported by a pinion shaft 20 and a bushing 12; and a right side shaft 33 supported by support parts 40a, 40b of a support member 40. A first connection rod 36 connected to universal joints 34, 35 at both ends and relatively displaceably connecting the intermediate shaft 31 and the left side shaft 32 in an axial direction is interposed between the intermediate shaft 31 and the left side shaft 32, and a second connection rod 39 connected to universal joints 37, 38 at both ends and relatively displaceably connecting the intermediate shaft 31 and the right side shaft 33 in the axial direction is interposed between the intermediate shaft 31 and the right side shaft 33. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
