PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems, wherein in an image forming apparatus which includes an image processing part and a communicating part is difficult for the communicating part to perform communication corresponding to correct status information, after the image processing part transits to a sleep mode, and it is difficult for the image processing part to hold correct information, after the image processing part returns from the sleep mode. SOLUTION: The image processing part sets status information in the communicating part just before the image processing part transits to the sleep mode. The communicating part acquires and stores each information while the image processing part sleeps. After that, the communicating part notifies the image processing part of the information, immediately prior to the image processing part is restored from the sleep. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
