PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated paper having high whiteness, white paper gloss, and surface strength, and excellent blister resistance. SOLUTION: The coated paper is obtained by providing base paper with an undercoating layer essentially consisting of a starch or a starch derivative as a main component in a coated amount per side of 0.5-1.0 g/m<SP>2</SP>. The undercoating layer is provided with a top coating layer essentially consisting of pigment and an adhesive as main components. The pigment has a particle diameter distribution having the maximum value in the range of ≥0.1 μm and <0.8 μm in particle diameter distribution totalized for each 0.1 μm. Preferably, the pigment has a particle diameter distribution having the maximum in the range of ≥0.8 μm and <2.0 μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
