An exercise harness comprising a band 1 for partial encirclement of a part of a user's body, such as the head or neck, and means for loading a tensioning force onto the two ends of the band 1 wherein the harness includes a device 14 for equalising the tensioning force applied to the two ends of the band 1. The equalising means may be a cord or line 13 attached to the two ends of the band 1 with a pulley system 14 on it to receive the tensioning force wherein movement of the pulley 14 along the cord 1 in reaction to the tensioning force acts to equalise the force on the two ends of the band 1. The pulley 14 may also include a swivel 15 and the force may be applied by a freely hanging weight. Means to secure the band 1 in place which will disengage when an excessive force is applied may also be provided and may utilise press stud fastenings or a hook and loop arrangement. |
