NOVEL TRANSITION METAL COMPOUND AND METHOD FOR PREPARING OLEFIN-BASED POLYMERS

PURPOSE: A novel transition metal compound and a method for manufacturing olefin polymers using the same are provided to ensure excellent reactivity to olefin monomers with three-dimensional problem. CONSTITUTION: A transition metal compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. The transition metal compound of chemical formula 1 is a compound of chemical formula 2 or 3. A catalyst composition contains the transition metal compound of chemical formula 1 and co-catalyst compound of chemical formula 4, 5, or 6. An olefin polymer is prepared by polymerizing olefin monomer under the presence of catalyst composition. The olefin monomer is ethylene, alpha-olefin, cyclic olefin, diene olefin, or triene olefin.
