The device (1) has an enclosure provided with a washing fluid inlet (10) and an outlet for retrieving waste water after cleaning a filter cartridge (2). A receiving unit (11) receives the cartridge in a freely rotatable manner. Outer projection nozzles (17) and removable inner projection nozzles (18) are connected to the inlet and mounted inside the enclosure so as to direct a washing fluid projection jet to induce torque for rotating the cartridge. The outer nozzles are distributed along a ramp (19) connected to the inlet, and the inner nozzles are connected to the inlet by the ramp.
