The device (1) has a draining station draining contents i.e. coffee ground, of a rigid container (2) i.e. aluminum coffee pod such as Nespresso(RTM: coffee machine), in a draining compartment (14). Plates (11, 46) are provided with openings (19, 49) with upper surfaces (17, 47) for receiving the container. Lower surfaces (18, 48) of the plates are placed opposite to the upper surfaces relative to the draining compartment in a draining position. The upper surfaces are placed relative to a release compartment (15) in a release position.
