The flange (100) has a flange body (101) comprising a hole (110) for passage of cooling fluid i.e. carbon dioxide, across the flange body. A shoulder (120) extends around the passage hole and receives a sealing joint (300). A stiffening insert (130) is placed on the shoulder, and is formed from a material having mechanical resistance greater than mechanical resistance of material forming the shoulder. A reinforcement insert and another shoulder present conjugated centering profiles of the insert on the former shoulder. An independent claim is also included for a connection system for connecting a component of a cooling fluid circulation circuit to a pipe of the circuit.
