PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means caring particularly for damaged hair. SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic includes (1) 0.01-2 mass% of the total amount of a high viscosity carboxyvinyl polymer and a low viscosity carboxyvinyl polymer, the mass ratio of the high viscosity carboxyvinyl polymer to the low viscosity carboxyvinyl polymer being in the range of 9:1 to 1:9, (2) 0.1-20 mass% of liquid dimethylpolysiloxane having a polymerization degree of 4-30, (3) 0.1-10 mass% of at least one rubbery polysiloxane having a polymerization degree of 3,000-10,000 selected from the group consisting of rubbery dimethylpolysiloxanes and rubbery dihydroxypolydimethylsiloxanes, and (4) water.
