<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of invalid pixels on an outer peripheral part while suppressing influence on image quality such as discontinuity due to pixel expansion and suppressing an increase in the number of processing pixels. <P>SOLUTION: When sequentially generating a plurality of reduced images having mutually different resolutions by sequentially performing reduction processing for an input image 100 in achieving noise reduction processing using multiresolution transformation, pixel expansion processing for expanding pixels on the outer peripheral part of the image of the reduced image is performed at least once before performing any reduction processing, and the reduced image after pixel expansion processing is further reduced to generate a plurality of reduced images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
