<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device for improving the flexibility of harness by reducing the number of wires included in the harness connected to a detection means, and for preventing the harness from interfering with an operator who operates the input device. <P>SOLUTION: An input device which outputs an input code corresponding to the spatial operation of the finger is provided with: a detection means mounted on a mounting part of the finger or the hand of a user, for detecting a plurality of detection signals changing according to the spatial movement of the finger; and a code output means connected through a harness to the detection means for outputting an input code corresponding to the detection signal detected by the detection means. The detection means is provided with: a detection part for generating a plurality of detection signals changing according to the spatial movement of the finger; and a synthetic signal output part for synthesizing the plurality of detection signals generated by the detection part, and for outputting the smaller number of synthetic signals than the number of the plurality of detection signals through the harness to the code output part.
