PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor that reduces ESL of the solid electrolytic capacitor and has satisfactory transition response characteristics. SOLUTION: In a capacitor element, at least one portion of each projection 31 of a flat positive electrode body with a top view shape formed in a cross shape is set to be an positive electrode extraction section 32, and the center section is set to be a negative electrode extraction section 33. A mounting board 41 is prepared such that it includes conductors 44, 45, where positive electrode extraction sections 22, 22 of the capacitor element coincide with a negative electrode extraction section 23 on a mounting surface, and includes an positive electrode terminal 42 and a negative electrode terminal 43 on a packaging surface. In the mounting board 41, the conductors 44, 45 are connected to the positive electrode terminal 42 and the negative electrode terminal 43 via a through-hole.
