PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crackling aerosol composition excellent in crackling ability, giving a fresh after-feel, and giving excellent smoothness to the skin when applied thereto. SOLUTION: The crackling aerosol composition includes a stock solution which is an oil-in-water emulsion containing the following components (a) to (d): (a) a phospholipid; (b) a nonionic surfactant of an HLB of 7-18; (c) a higher alcohol; and (d) an oil and a propellant, wherein the average particle diameter of emulsified droplets in the stock solution is not larger than 500 nm.
