PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of stabilizing an isolated and purified membrane receptor in a state of holding the activities, and facilitating the treatment of the membrane receptor. SOLUTION: The chaperonine-target protein complex includes a chaperonine connected body obtained by connecting two or more chaperonine subunits in series, and a target protein non-covalently bonded to the chaperonine connected body wherein the chaperonine subunits can form a ring-shaped structure obtained by arranging the chaperonine subunits in a ring shape, and the target protein can be housed in the interior of the ring-shaped structure. The target protein is a membrane receptor expressed in an animal cell in the chaperonine-target protein complex. The chaperonine connected body can be bonded to the target protein through a tag.
