PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a container lid (2) made of a synthetic resin, which is suitably applied to a container having a comparatively large diameter of an opening neck (34) so as to reduce the force required for opening to a predetermined value or lower, even when it is made of a hard synthetic resin, wherein the force is required when the container lid is pushed upward to detach locking projecting lines (24a to 24j) from a locking jaw (36) of the opening neck by holding an arc-shaped tab piece (22) with a finger. SOLUTION: The thickness of an upper end of a skirt wall (6) is gradually reduced toward the lower side so that the thickness of a main part of the skirt wall is smaller than the thickness of the peripheral part of a top surface wall (4). The total length L1 of the circumferential lengths of the plurality of locking projecting lines is smaller than the total length L2 of the circumferential lengths of non-projecting regions (26a to 26j) existing between the locking projecting lines. Reinforcing ribs (28) extending in the axial direction are disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the skirt wall to correspond to the circumferential positions of the locking projecting lines.
