<p>Disclosed is an organic solar cell that can simultaneously realize smoothness by the provision of a smoothing layer and simplification of the production and low cost by the use of a polymer material. The organic solar cell comprises a smoothing layer (3) formed of a layer of a mixture of an organic semiconductor with an inorganic compound and a hole transport layer (4) formed of a water-soluble electroconductive polymer. The hole transport layer (4) is formed of the water-soluble electroconductive layer, whereby the dissolution of the hole transport layer (4) per se and the organic semiconductor material contained in the smoothing layer (3) in an organic solvent contained in a photoelectric conversion layer (5) can be prevented and soundness of the organic solar cell can be maintained. The smoothing layer (3) can prevent short-circuiting and current leak caused by protrusions and foreign matter on the surface of a first electrode (2). The use of the polymer material for the photoelectric conversion layer (5) can realize a simplified production process and a cost reduction of the organic solar cell.</p> |
