The package (1) has two sliding elements (3, 4) projected into an input opening (2) from two opposite sides such that value documents are stampable via the input opening and held back by the sliding elements. The sliding elements comprise sliding surfaces (5, 6) that are bent inside the package for the value documents and formed as hollow sections, where the package is made of cardboard. Concertina-like foldings are formed on a side of the package such that height of the package is adjusted according to filling level of the package. An independent claim is also included for a method for handling a disposable package.
