<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it difficult for water to infiltrate into the inside space of a cylinder hole from the outside while surely preventing a pressure change of air in the inside space of the cylinder hole by allowing the passage of air between the inside space of the cylinder hole and the outside. <P>SOLUTION: An electric disk brake comprises pressing members 4, 5 which press friction pads 2, 3 provided to a caliper body 1, an advancing/retracting mechanism 7 which is provided to a cylinder hole 6 in the caliper body 1 and produces pressing force in the pressing members 4, 5, and a deceleration mechanism 10 which decelerate and transmits driving force of an actuator 8 to the advancing/retracting mechanism 7 through deceleration, wherein communication holes 25, 26 are formed so as to prevent the infiltration of water while allowing the communication of air to the inside and outside of the cylinder hole 6 by forming in the caliper body 1 the communication holes 25, 26 allowing communication between the inside space of the cylinder hole 6 containing the advancing/retracting mechanism 7 and the outside of the cylinder hole 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
