The present invention relates to a secondary battery having a novel structure, and more particularly, to a secondary battery in which a jelly roll-type electrode assembly (a "jelly roll"), in which a positive electrode that includes a positive electrode active material coating portion on at least one surface of a positive electrode collector and a negative electrode that includes a negative electrode active material coating portion on at least one surface of a negative electrode collector are wound with a separation membrane interposed therebetween, and an electrolyte are built into a battery case. A positive electrode lead coupled with a positive electrode non-coated portion and/or a negative electrode lead coupled with a negative electrode non-coated portion are formed by combining a first metal layer which is used for coupling with respect to the electrode non-coated portion and/or coupling with respect to the battery case with a second metal layer, the resistance of which is lower than the resistance of the first metal layer. |
