PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a record reproducing device which edits by repetitively utilizing edit information of the same pattern to easily and quickly do the edition works, such as, cutting unwanted CMs from programs, having inserted CM, etc., at fixed positions, such as, band programs without reproducing contents one by one. SOLUTION: A record reproducing device is provided which comprises: an edit pattern information holding unit for holding edit pattern information, including repeated usable edit position information; a content information acquiring unit for acquiring content information; an editing unit for editing the acquired contents information, on the basis of the edit pattern information; and a playlist-reproducing unit for reproducing contents according to a playlist, where the editing unit includes an indirect editing means which does not perform an editing operation on the acquired contents information itself but generates and edits a playlist of the content information acquired.
