PURPOSE: A control method of a refrigerator is provided to enable an ice separating time from an ice making unit to be easily controlled by sensing the attaching state of an ice storage basket with a sensor or a switch. CONSTITUTION: The driving of a ventilation fan is controlled and the cold air is supplied to an ice making chamber, which is installed in a refrigerating compartment. If the ice making operation by the ice making chamber is completed, it is sensed whether the ice storage basket installed on a door is attached(S12,S13). Depending on the attaching state of the ice storage basket, it is determined whether or not to drive an ice separating motor of the ice making chamber. The attaching state of the ice storage basket is determined by the signal transmission of a receiver and a transmitter. The attaching state of the ice storage basket is determined by the contact state of a contact member and a sensing member. If the storage basket is detached, the driving of the ice separating motor stops and if the storage basket is attached, the ice separating motor operates(S15). |
