PURPOSE: An electric motor for an electric vehicle is provided to supply large rotation force to a wheel by alternatively mounting a rotor with a permanent and a stator to generate an electromagnetic field on the rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION: An electric motor(10) is driven with power applied from a battery. A rotary shaft(12) is formed on the electric motor to supply rotation force to a wheel. A coil disk(14) and a magnet rotational plate(18) are successively mounted on the rotary shaft. The coil disk is fixed to the inner wall of a housing(22) comprising the electric motor. A coil(16) is mounted on both sides of the coil disk. The electromagnetic field generated from the coil is applied to the magnet rotational plate.
