ZIRCONIA PARTICLE, METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME AND DISPERSION LIQUID CONTAINING ZIRCONIA PARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide zirconia particles which do not aggregate irrespective of nanoparticles, are monodisperse and are excellent in dispersion stability, and to provide a method of preparing a dispersion solution of zirconia particles. SOLUTION: The method of preparing the zirconia particles is characterized in that a zirconium compound and a carboxylic acid or amine salt of carboxylic acid are subjected to hydrothermal reaction using subcritical water as a reaction field to synthesize the zirconia particles which have an average particle size of 1 to 30 nm and are surface-reformed by organic substances such as carboxylic acid or amine salt of carboxylic acid.
