PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical filter which is superior in manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The optical filter 10 is an ND filter, where an antistatic layer 3 is printed and formed on a light control layer 2 formed on one surface of a transparent base material 1, and an antistatic layer 3 is also printed and formed on the other surface of the transparent base material 1. The edge of the opening 31 of the antistatic layer 3 functioning also as a light shielding layer is made as thin as possible, and then, vignetting of a captured image caused by a failure that part of incident light is shielded by the edge is prevented. The antistatic layers 3 and 3 function as a spacer for preventing the light control layer 2 from directly coming in contact with a support mechanism when assembling the optical filter 10 with a camera. Accordingly, it is not necessary for the optical filter 10 to separately provide a spacer member, then, the number of components is reduced, the manufacturing cost is suppressed, and also, the thin shape is achieved as a whole.
