PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accent character input device and an accent character input program, for easily inputting an accent character composed of a basic character and two or more kinds of accent symbols with few operations. SOLUTION: A tape printer 1 includes a basic character input key 21, a tonal symbol input key 22, a vowel symbol input key 23, a default key 24, and a cursor key 25. A CPU 31 changes, when the tonal symbol input key 22 is input while a basic character 51 is input, the type of a tonal symbol 52 constituting an accent character 50 (S14-S16). When the vowel symbol input key 23 is input while the basic character 51 is input, the CPU 31 changes the type of a vowel symbol 53 constituting the accent character 50 (S18-S20).
