<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve purifying efficiency of exhaust gas in an exhaust emission control device for a hybrid vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device (204 and 206) for the hybrid vehicle includes an electric heating type catalyst (204 and 206) heated by energization, a downstream catalyst (205) provided downstream of the electric heating type catalyst, a downstream catalyst temperature specifying means (205a) for specifying the temperature of the downstream catalyst, and an energization amount controlling means (190) for controlling the energization amount of the electric heating type catalyst at startup of an internal combustion engine (150) so that the temperature of the electric heating type catalyst approaches a first target temperature determined according to the specified downstream catalyst temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
