PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire detector for early detecting a fire source in a monitoring region. SOLUTION: The fire detector (S) is provided with an ultraviolet sensor (2) and an infrared sensor (1a, 1b) having sensitivity in a specific band, and configured to revolve around a rotary shaft (5) to monitor a monitoring area. The ultraviolet sensor and the infrared sensor are installed so as to face the same monitor area, and a horizontal visual field angle (β) of the infrared sensor is set to be wider than the horizontal visual field angle (α) of the ultraviolet sensor.
