PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal label which prevents forgery and swapping and is reliably produced in a simple manner. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal label 20 includes a transparent base material 22. On the back side of the base material 22, a liquid crystal layer 24 composed of cholesteric liquid crystal is provided in a size smaller than the base material 22 so as not to extend to the periphery of the base material 22. On the back side of the base material 22, an adhesive layer 26 is prepared so as to cover the liquid crystal layer 24. A plurality of peeling cuts 28 are formed on the base material 22, the liquid crystal layer 24 and the adhesive layer 26 in such a manner so as to extend from the periphery of the base material 22 onto the liquid crystal layer 24.
