PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood purifier showing a high level of performance for removing impurities in blood, and especially phosphorus and vitamin B<SB>12</SB>. SOLUTION: In the blood purifier having a hollow fiber membrane containing polyvinylpyrrolidone, the mode diameter of a peak on a side of the greatest particle size in a particle size distribution of the polyvinylpyrrolidone in the hollow fiber membrane measured under a dynamic light scattering method is 300 nm or less.
