METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MOISTURE CONTROL AGENT AND MOISTURE CONTROL AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a moisture control agent, capable of providing hygienically safe and low-cost manufacture and low-cost and efficient manufacture of a moisture control agent for controlling a moisture content of livestock excrement.

SOLUTION: Water is added into livestock excrement for mixing to produce slurry of organic waste (S1). The slurry is put into a dehydrator 11 for dehydration until a predetermined moisture content is achieved. Desalted organic waste is put in a dryer to be heated to at least 60°C for drying with hot air or the like (S3). The moisture content of the desalted organic waste is 5 mass% or above and 20 mass% or below. For waste heat serving as a heat source of the dryer, the waste heat generated from a cement kiln of a cement manufacturing process (factory), for example, may be used.
