<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber holding structure which has high heat dissipation and holds an optical fiber with low light loss. <P>SOLUTION: The optical fiber holding apparatus comprises a surface in order to hold the optical fiber which is rolled up so as not to overlap with each other, wherein at least the surface is formed of a heat conductive mold which has a thermal conductivity equal to or more than 0.5 W/mK, and which has an Asker C hardness of 20-50. Preferably, the heat conductive mold has a compressive strength of 10-30 N/cm<SP>2</SP>at a peak value and 3-10 N/cm<SP>2</SP>at a stabilized value. Preferably, the heat conductive mold has a thermal conductivity equal to or more than 1.0 W/mK and has an Asker C hardness of 25-40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
