<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk resonator that can increase curvature of propagated light and adjust a refractive index with low energy, and an optical filter using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The disk resonator has a disk-like core layer 12 in a substantially circular or substantially long circular shape formed in a mesa shape on a first clad layer 11, and also has a disk-like second clad layer 13 in a substantially circular or substantially long circular shape formed in a rib shape on the core layer 12, the first clad layer 11 and second clad layer 13 being both lower in refractive index than the core layer 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
