PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a higher fatty acid metal salt block molding and an electrophotographic device which are abrasive resistant and which can achieve a stable and excellent supply state by supplying a large amount at start of use and gradually decreasing the supply amount, for applications such as lubricants, polishing agents, cleaning aids and development aids of a business machine such as an electrostatic copying machine. SOLUTION: The higher fatty acid metal salt block molding is obtained by heating/melting and solidifying higher fatty acid metal salt and has four sides in the cross section cut perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction, wherein at least one of the four sides has a curve and/or a broken line. The higher fatty acid zinc block molding does not cause a trouble of cracking, has little dispersion in hardness, can control abrasion amount by a brush, has excellent supply state, and is extremely effective in use as the lubricants and the cleaning aids of the business machine such as an electrostatic copying machine and other precision instrument.
