<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the brightness (apparent brightness) of the visible light detected by the human senses in a visible light communication system without influencing the reception strength of communication signals. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitter 10 comprising a plurality of light emitting elements 160 for emitting lights of colors mutually different in visibility performs transmission on each communication channel according to blink of each light emitting element 160 or variation of the brightness. In transmitting different bit strings on a plurality of communication channels, the communication channel is associated with any of the light emitting elements 160, according to the duty ratio, to change the apparent brightness of composite lights emitted from the light emitting elements 160. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
