METHOD OF TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT IN A WIRELESS SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An acknowledgement response transmission and reception method in a wireless system is provided to minimize the overhead of ACK by optimizing the fields of ACK. CONSTITUTION: A terminal is allotted with the uplink area for transmitting bandwidth request pointer or the uplink area for transmitting ranging pointer by a base station(S510). The terminal transmits the bandwidth request indicator or the ranging pointer through the allotted area to the base station(S520). Each area includes more than one transmission opportunity.
