PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous paint composition that is capable of providing a coating film excellent in various physical properties such as antifouling property, weather resistance and resistance to hot-water whitening by exerting extremely favorable film-forming property at low temperature, despite containing a reduced amount of or substantially no volatile organic compounds that are generally contained in a paint composition, and is capable of greatly reducing burden on health and environment, and a paint for topcoat using the same. SOLUTION: The aqueous paint composition includes a (meth)acrylic emulsion. The composition comprises a polymer containing an oxazoline group and/or an oxazoline compound.
