PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor that curbs disorder in relationship between the regions where translated sentences exist when recognizing a character in an image and translating the character. SOLUTION: A region extraction means of the image processor extracts a character region in an image; a character recognition means recognizes a character in the character region extracted by the region extraction means; a translation means translates the recognition result recognized by the character recognition means; and a changing means changes constitution of the image covering the character region extracted by the region extraction means by means of either of the rotation and the reverse-rotation in a case where a direction of the character in the character region extracted by the region extraction means and a direction of the character of a language translated by the translation means are different from each other, based on a relationship between a direction of the character when the direction of the character in the character region is rotated or reverse-rotated and the direction of the character of the language translated.
