The invention relates to the field of sport, more specifically to technical equipment for performing physical exercises intended, in particular, to develop joint flexibility. A device is proposed for exerting a vibration effect on the human body, which comprises a mechanical vibration generator that is mounted on a base and consists of an electric motor and a means in the form of a crank mechanism for converting electrical energy into mechanical vibration energy, as well as a means for transmitting the mechanical vibrations to the body parts by contact, which is connected to the mechanical vibration generator and is in the form of a body part support which is rigidly attached to the base, is elastically deformable throughout its entire surface area and has the shape of an incomplete, hollow cylinder. The crank of the crank mechanism is rigidly connected to the output shaft of the electric motor, and the rod is pivotally connected to the body part support on the inside surface side thereof so as to be capable of reciprocating movement between two extreme positions. The device has a simple design and provides for a reduction in the energy expended in vibrating the support. |
