<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new heat treatment method of a langatate-based single crystal, which provides a langatate-based single crystal characterized in that the change of its resistivity by holding at a constant temperature of≥300°C is small even if the langatate-based single crystal obtained from a polycrystalline raw material is subjected to a heat treatment. <P>SOLUTION: The langatate-based single crystal obtained from a polycrystalline raw material is heated under conditions of a temperature of 1,000-1,490°C and a time of 10-100 h, so as to precipitate a different phase on the surface of the crystal.
