PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collecting device which can obtain high dust collection performance by generating a dust collecting air flow circulating in the entire room by ventilation operation controlled cooperatively by an air blowing means and a dust collecting means, and can efficiently collect heavy dust in cooperation with a self-propelling cleaner, thereby solving the problems that it is difficult for a dust collecting device with a configuration having a high degree of freedom of installation to form a dust collecting air flow suitable for collecting dust of the entire room and that it is difficult to collect heavy dust, such as sand, which cannot ride on the dust collecting air flow. SOLUTION: The dust collecting device includes the air blowing means 7 disposed in a room to generate an air flow in the room by changing the air direction and air volume, and the dust collecting means 8 for collecting dust by suction and generating an air flow in the room by the discharged air. The dust collecting air flow 10 circulating in the room is formed by the ventilation operation controlled cooperatively by the air blowing means and the dust collecting means to collect dust, whereby the heavy dust can be efficiently collected.
