PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine which can easily conduct minute distance adjustment between the output shaft and the main shaft of an electric motor. SOLUTION: The sewing machine is provided with a cylindrical body 50 and a bracket 25 for holding a motor 30. The cylindrical body 50 is in a cylindrical shape and holds the motor 30 inside. The bracket 25 fixed on the machine casing of the sewing machine is provided with a cylindrical holding section 27 for holding the cylindrical body 50 inside in a rotatable manner. The holding section 27 holds the cylindrical body 50 in a state that the central axis of the cylindrical surface inside the holding section 27 and the center of the output shaft 31 of the motor 30 are out of alignment. The position of the output shaft 31 of the motor 30 which the cylindrical body 50 holds is moved by releasing the fixation of the motor 30 and the cylindrical body 50 by loosening a screw and rotating the cylindrical body 50 which the holding section 27 holds.
