<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine sufficiently performing lubrication with an engine oil, reduced in the size, and improving the power output. <P>SOLUTION: The engine includes a clank chamber 14 provided on the front side of the engine, a transmission chamber 15 provided on the rear side of the engine and also serving as an oil tank for engine oil, a cam chain 26 arranged on the side surface of a clank case 13 constituting the clank chamber 14 and rotatably wound between a sprocket for a crank shaft and a sprocket for a camshaft, and a scavenge pump 29 for sucking up engine oil stored in the bottom portion of the engine and pumping it into the transmission chamber 15. The center of the pump driving shaft of the scavenge pump 29 is disposed between the rotation center of the crank shaft and the transmission chamber 15 as seen from the side of the engine, and an oil spray nozzle 55 for spraying the engine oil on the cam chain 26 is provided on the scavenge pump 29. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
