PURPOSE: A method and a device for producing a hologram by a computer are provided to reproduce a moving picture hologram in real time. CONSTITUTION: A lookup table(250) stores a reference element fringe pattern according to a distance to each point of a target object from a reference point. An identity analyzing unit(220) produces identity data showing whether each point of an input image and an adjacent point are the same. A point fringe producing unit(240) produces an n-point element fringe pattern in which n reference element fringe patterns are combined. A hologram producing unit(260) matches the n-point element fringe pattern with n consecutive points grasped from the identity data to produce hologram information.
